Mountain Air Observer explores the air between mountains and their observers.

At the moment, Mountain Air Observer is hosted at Baksı Müzesi in the mountains of Bayburt, Türkiye. A series of photos taken by Anna Orlinski during her stay at the Utopia Atelier 2026 observe the air surrounding the landscape of the museum.

Air becomes a medium of spatial articulation and shapes the relationship between body, architecture, landscape, and horizon.

Every hour a new photo of the mountain landscape surrounding Baksi Müzesi appears on this webisite. Click on the cloud symbol turn it into a digital postcard and share it with someone in the world. An airy message that connects Baksı Müzesi with other places, carring a story that might otherwise remain unseen.

Mountain Air Observer started as a digital contribution by Anna Orlinski and Jan Ribbers to LINE Biennial. "Up in the air" taking place in Yerevan, Armenia from 06. September until 04. October 2025. There, Mountain Air Observer explored the visibility and invisibility of Mount Ararat, a symbol of Armenian identity and landscape.

Now Anna Orlinski is participating in the Utopia Atelier 2026 at Baksı Müzesi , where the explores the explores the surrounding landscape of the museum in the mountains of Bayburt, Türkiye.
